“A strong and tough company”
BUVO Castings is an organization and an employer at the heart of society. It is not without reason that BUVO contributes to regional initiatives such as the Hightech Helmond – De Peel Foundation, the dragon boat race and the house of Sinterklaas. These are all initiatives that give our region extra shine and character and that we should therefore cherish.
That this did not go unnoticed was evident from the invitation we received from Helmond Mayor Elly Blanksma, Alderman for Economy and Innovation Serge van de Brug and municipal secretary Erik de Ruiter. Together with us they wanted to exchange ideas about what is going on in the municipality and at BUVO. Of course, there has also been talk about the current time when businesses worldwide, but also specifically in our region, are affected by the crisis that arose after the outbreak of COVID-19. The Municipality of Helmond thus shows that it is close to society and that it really is there for the people and companies in the region.
During a pleasant and open conversation, which took place on May 14, in the office of the mayor, we gave our vision on our company and on the current situation. We face the new challenges associated with this situation with our resilience and drive. Get together and carry on! That is exactly the image that the Mayor, who has known and followed BUVO for a long time, has of the Helmond foundry: “A tough and strong company” was how she described and knows the company. And that makes us proud. A nice compliment for our team!
It was a pleasant conversation in which we could also compliment the municipality on the way in which it is there for entrepreneurs, even now. CEO Bart Rouwette and HR manager Wendy Hendriks, who conducted this conversation on behalf of BUVO, look back on a valuable and constructive afternoon.
