BUVO Castings B.V. obtains the ISO14001: 2015 Environmental Certificate
Since 2002 we have been in possession of the ISO14001 Environmental Certificate. We recently obtained the renewed ISO14001: 2015. By obtaining this certificate, we show that we have fully embedded sustainable and responsible entrepreneurship in our organization. After all, ISO14001: 2015 is the internationally accepted standard with requirements for an environmental management system.
The environmental management system is used to develop an environmental policy that is appropriate for the organization and to guarantee its implementation and thus goes further than just looking at separate activities. It is therefore an integral whole. And the fact that we have embedded this within our walls makes us genuinely proud.
Although it is about the integrated approach, the concrete examples are the most appealing when we tell what we all do in the context of sustainable and responsible entrepreneurship. For example, we produce from secondary aluminum (the production of secondary aluminum costs 20 times less energy than the production of primary aluminum from bauxite), we have well-insulated heating ovens at all our casting cells, there are the frequency-controlled compressors, we work with the most modern and most economical machines and we use LED and our follow-me printing facilities at our offices. In addition to these current affairs, there are also projects to use solar collectors and to regenerate residual heat from our production facilities. These are just a few examples of everything we do to minimize our ecological footprint.
